Went down to Toms River today. These are photos from Ortley Beach on the barrier island. The ocean is right behind those dunes, sweeping in and out as usual. That road is paved through where sand used to be, and where houses used to be before that. If you look closely, you can see the remainder of the Casino Pier chair lifts ride in the distance. Part of the boardwalk washed right up to that house.
There’s still a lot of work to be done.
My M.O. in life seems to be self-sabotaging myself then kicking and screaming when things don’t go right.
The view from the other window (~20 minutes later).
The sun is setting.

Not quite enthusiastic about heading outside tonight.
But distraction is better than laying in bed and feeling sad for dumb reasons.
3 hour class. Professor’s not here yet. (Train delay.)
Everyone’s done checking their email and are doing the things they normally do to procrastinate.
Ran my first 5k!
Everything is sore.
But I finished!
I spent 30 minutes in Rite Aid looking at toys for Rutgers Big Chill.
Okay, so I'm getting something that's around $10
These toys are so boring.
Do games count as toys? Games are more fun.
Stuffed animals...where are they?
Now I have get one more thing...
Where are the non-white-dolls? I hope this means they've already been bought.
Maybe I'll just get a car. These toys are seriously not intellectually stimulating.
Wait, kids like red stuff, right??
A red car that requires assembly! Yesss use your brain, little kid.
